BADEA BOARD OF DIRECTORS HOLDS ITS LAST MEETING IN 2005 |
The Board of Directors of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa
(BADEA), held its Fourth meeting in the year 2005, during the period 14 - 16
December 2005.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Abdallah Al-Akeil,
Chairman of the Board of Directors, and attended by the Director General of
BADEA H.E. Mr. Medhat S. Lotfy. .
During this meeting, the last for this year, the Board of Directors reviewed a
number of reports, mainly the Director General’s report on the Bank’s activities
and achievements through the period October to December 2005. The Board reviewed
also a number of reports, including a financial report covering the third
quarter of the year and a report on the portfolio management performance for the
same period.
Likewise, the Board of Directors reviewed the Bank’s administrative expenditure
in 2005 and approved the administrative budget for 2006. .
As regards the 2006 lending programme earmarked to cover projects and technical
assistance operations, the Board approved a ceiling of US $ 170 million.
