Within the framework of cooperation between the Arab Bank for
Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and non-Arab African countries, H.E. Mr.
Bahna SIDIBE Minister of Public Works, visited on Sunday 19/11/2006, the Bank's
Headquarters in Khartoum and met with the Director General H.E. Mr. Abdelaziz
KHELEF.
Discussions revolved around current joint activities and
future cooperation between the Republic of Guinea and BADEA in the
infrastructure sector, exploring means of promoting and developing such
cooperation. The two parties expressed their satisfaction with the performance
of the cooperation programme and pledged to strengthen it.
By the end of October 2006, BADEA’s assistance to the Republic
of Guinea reached US $ 144.974 million. BADEA participated in financing 18
development projects, 14 technical assistance operations, in addition to one
operation in the context of Emergency Aid Programme and another operation in
field of BADEA's Export Financing Scheme.
The total Arab Financing Institutions aid to the Republic of
Guinea, including BADEA's assistance, has reached US$ 760.127 million until end
of 2005. |
