Within the framework of cooperation between the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and non-Arab African countries, H.E. Mr. Arman Coovi ZINZINDOHOUSE, Minister of Transport and Public Works in the Republic of Benin , visited Sunday 04/11/2007, the Bank's Headquarters in Khartoum and met with the Director General H.E. Mr. Abdelaziz KHELEF.  

Discussions revolved in particular around infrastructure projects in Benin and plan to realize the project objectives and its implementation. Current joint activities and future cooperation between the Republic of Benin and BADEA and the means of promoting and developing such cooperation were also discussed during the said meeting.

Benin ministerial delegation expressed its appreciation to the important role played by BADEA in particular and the Arab Financing institutions in general in assisting the economic and social development of the country.

By the end of October 2007, BADEA’s assistance to the Republic of Benin reached US $ 122.105 million. BADEA participated in financing 27 development projects and technical assistance operations.
