Additional Loan to the rehabilitation of three hydro power stations project
BADEA’s Financing:
Additional loan of US $ 2.0 million, to be repaid over a period of 30 years,
including a grace period of 10 years, and an annual interest rate of 1%.
Estimated Project Cost:
The total project cost for the complete road is estimated at US $ 11.3 million
out of which US $ 9.08 million is in foreign currencies and 2.22 in local
currency.
Project Description:
A. Rehabilitation of hydro mechanical, electro mechanical and electrical
structures including replacement and renovation of measuring devices.
B. Civil works Including the water intake and rehabilitation of stations and
rooms buildings
C. Consultancy Services for preparing detailed design and tender documents,
evaluation of offers and supervision of construction.
Procurement of Goods and Services:
The execution of works on the basis of international competitive bidding subject
to BADEA’s modality and in coordination with the Government. Procurement of the
consultancy services shall be obtained through competitive bidding restricted to
short-listed firms limited to Arab, African or Arab-African subject to BADEA’s
procedures and in coordination with the Government.
Project’s Implementation:
Physical implementation of the project is expected to begin in the last quarter
of 2005 and ends in the third quarter of 2007.
