Foreign Trade Between Arab and African Countries

Due to the role of trade in strengthening Arab African cooperation, BADEA contributed with USD 10 million in the capital of AFREXIMBANK and allocated a sum of USD 100 million to finance Arab exports to African countries recipient of its aid (out of which USD 75 million was entrusted to the Islamic Development Bank then to its subsidiary, International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation – ITFC, since February 2008) for management. Since 1998, the Bank financed 21 export operations at a total value of USD 113.9 million for the benefit of Senegal, Mauritius, Kenya, Gambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Seychelles and Guinea.
