The BADEA Board of Directors, in its Fall Session, held during
the period of 30 September – 2 October, 2005, has approved provision of loans
and grants to several African countries.
The total amount of the approved financing is US$33.4 million, of which US$32
million are earmarked as loans for 6 development projects, and US$1.4 million
were allocated for financing 7 technical assistance operations.
In view of the importance given by BADEA to encourage participation of Arab
contractors and consultancy firms in project implementation, preparation of
feasibility studies, and supervision of the execution of projects, the following
